When I finished college, I met Carol who I fell in love with and married 55 years ago. I then became a New York City police officer while having three children, and today have five beautiful grandchildren. My career with the NYPD was cut short when I was hurt on the job. After retiring and getting my health back, I joined Honor Flight South Florida as a volunteer and became a guardian in 2016. Today I am the Committee Chair in charge of all flight equipment for the veterans, guardians and ground crew for flight day. I am also the liaison to the Maryland State Police who escort us from the airport, to D.C. for the day, and then back to the airport in the evening.
